 Asbestos Consultant Contract

In 2008, GLE was re-selected to serve as the Panhandle Area Education Consortium's asbestos consultant. GLE previously served as the asbestos consultant to the Panhandle Area Education Consortium from 2001 to 2006. GLE provided asbestos, lead-based paint, environmental and indoor air quality consulting services for the following PAEC County School Districts: Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, Wakulla, Walton, Washington, Bay, Escambia, Hamilton, Leon, Nassau, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Suwannee. GLE also performed AHERA asbestos reinspections for over eighty PAEC K-12 schools, negative exposure assessments asbestos fibers and silica dust, emergency turnkey asbestos abatement projects, construction projects, demolition projects, soil and groundwater contamination assessments and indoor air quality investigations for various PAEC school districts. Additionally, GLE provided annual asbestos awareness training to all PAEC school district maintenance and custodial staff.

GLE’s architectural department had recently been requested to submit a cost proposal to conduct Uniform Building Code and Fire Code inspections for all 12 PAEC school districts and expects to provide this service to PAEC in the near future.
