GLE was selected in 2009 by the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Pierce to perform Architectural and Engineering services for three fast track projects (Garden Terrace, Garden Terrace Annex, and South 27th Street Circle).

Garden Terrace and Garden Terrace Annex consisted of 229 multi-family units requiring insitu and or retrofit replacement designs of sanitary sewer laterals, demolition of various utility sheds and walls and design of additional driveways/off street parking areas. South 27th Street Circle consisted of concrete pavement rehabilitation assessments and design modification/replacements for an existing street within a multi-family housing project.

GLE was recently awarded another A/E renovation/modernization project for the FPHA’s Wildwood residential community. The $1,236,287 (construction budget) project is being funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

Included in the scope of this project are the renovation of three units for Section 504/ADA compliance, HVAC Renovations, a new water heater hydronic system for the Central HVAC, exterior door replacement, the addition of gutter and downspouts, and the addition of exterior storage units for each apartment. Site work will include sewer line and concrete sidewalk replacement, playground replacement for handicap accessibility, site fencing and signage, the addition of rear concrete patios, the extension of existing parking pads and mailbox replacement.

GLE is also contracted by the FPHA to provide IAQ consulting services, consisting of Preliminary Mold Assessment (PMA) and Post Mold Remediation Testing (PMRCT).
