USACE Jacksonville District – Pinellas County Non-Breeding Shorebird Survey

GLE was awarded a task order to conduct preconstruction monitoring surveys for Red Knot, Piping Plover and other non-breeding shorebirds within the Pinellas County Beach Erosion Control (BEC) project. Surveys were executed between January 2023 and May 2023, along approximately 10 miles of beach, which were conducted during three separate events per month. The work was completed prior to commencement of beach renourishment activities along Treasure Island and Long Key in Pinellas County, Florida.
